The group NINETY ONE was founded in 2014 on the basis of the
K-Top Idols project. ZAQ and A.Z. were the winners of this project, ALEM and BALA joined the group as a result of casting. ACE joined the band after his traineeship at SM entertainment agency in South Korea.

On September 1, 2015, NINETY ONE released their first single called "Ayyptama", on the same day a video clip for this song was released. The video was the leader in the charts of music channels of Kazakhstan for 20 weeks in a row. On December 1, 2015, the band presented the debut mini-album "Ayyptama".

On August 20, 2020, AZ, a band member, left the group. The group continues its work with 4 members.
NINETY ONE created a new musical genre-
Q-POP (qazaq-pop).

Its distinctive feature is a mixture of different musical genres from hip-hop to funky. The artists performing in this genre are distinguished visually by their bright appearance and provocative images, but the main difference is modern Kazakh music which corresponds to the musical world trends.
